This review is written by Denise Kass
A funny, honest, straight forward look into the glory of aging. Jackie presents us with a mirror into our own lives as we laugh and sometimes even choke up as we travel along on her shoulder as she traverses the terrains of loving, caring, maintaining, organizing the comfortable, scary moments to moments of getting older with pizzaz. A book, once you pickup, you read through to the end where everyone is stitched back together to create her loving family.

ANOTHER GREAT REVIEW but not on Amazon yet!
“I purchased the book on Amazon which arrived in 2 days. Laughing (and crying all the way). Your honesty, humor and love of life with all its bitter-sweet contradictions and challenges, is apparent on every page.”

SO IT IS NOT SIMPLE TO LINK EVERYTHING TOGETHER IF YOU ARE NOT HIGH TECH!
I am blogging this because it will take me time to link the excerpt audio to this website. It seems I need to create a youtube account first. This will have to wait. HOWEVER, if you are my FB friend, you can go to my page, click on the photo and a you can hear my two minute audio segment explaining how I came up with the title. To anyone else, I apologize that it will take me another week to make the link happen.

October 12, 2017, date of publication on Amazon and Kindle of RAGING AGAINST AGING
My new nonfiction book is about getting older: kicking & screaming, laughing & crying, stretching & kvetching and is obviously targeted to the Boomers. It is very NYC and very Jewish, and I’m told, it is quite funny. It is not a how-to. It is a collection of personal narratives that started as small blogs that grew into my book.
My husband and I were in NYC celebrating our 25th anniversary. It was mid-afternoon when we found ourselves on a long line to board the crosstown bus. We were holding onto the straps behind the driver ,when suddenly, two young girls got up. I turned around to see who the lucky old people were. My husband was the only one standing behind me. I realized those seats were meant for US!
I wish I could tell you that I felt dignified, respected, deserving. The truth was I was mortified! I was OUTRAGED! Somehow I managed to mutter a thank-you but the whole ride back to our hotel, I fretted about what had given me away. Was it my gray roots? Was it my wrinkles? My sagging neck? My orthopedic shoes that I have to wear?
Hence, the title: RAGING AGAINST AGING and chapter one: Orthopedic shoes and Dinner. Can Orthopedic Shoes be sexy? romantic?
If you know what I am talking about, you may want to buy my book. If you have not yet had the pleasure of this experience, then you may want to buy my book for your mother or aunt or grandmother.
