“I purchased the book on Amazon which arrived in 2 days. Laughing (and crying all the way). Your honesty, humor and love of life with all its bitter-sweet contradictions and challenges, is apparent on every page.”

THIS READER GAVE ME 5 STARS!
I highly recommend and encourage women to read “Raging Against Aging” by Jacqueline Becker! Delightful, funny and realistic! An easy read and perfect for relaxing . A laugh out loud book that many of us can relate to as we age. Includes perspectives of the good, bad and ugly aspects of life that we will all experience one day….in a most humorous way! I love that Jacqueline might not remember her contemporaries names in her exercise class but can name their ailments as they stretch and kvetch! I know what book to purchase for my friends for those milestone birthdays and upcoming holidays!
Please scroll down all the way to the bottom – past the ad – and leave your comments. The reader now is MORE important than the writer! Thank you!
Know someone in their 60s who has grandkids? Maybe buy them this book along with the gift of laughter it will give – as a holiday present! Please remember to leave a good review if you enjoyed the read! Thank you!
THANK YOU, Stu and Nina Held for the believing that my book warrants this hour long interview. THANK YOU Maria Stieglitz for recognizing that you wanted this book on the air.
I was taped on Oct 3rd and talked about my life and how I came to write: RAGING AGAINST AGING, kicking & screaming, laughing & crying, stretching & kvetching – available on Amazon and soon on Kindle. The show will air tomorrow. We laughed the entire hour and I hope you will, too. RAGE, AGE with HUMOR!!!
I am blogging this because it will take me time to link the excerpt audio to this website. It seems I need to create a youtube account first. This will have to wait. HOWEVER, if you are my FB friend, you can go to my page, click on the photo and a you can hear my two minute audio segment explaining how I came up with the title. To anyone else, I apologize that it will take me another week to make the link happen.

October 12, 2017, date of publication on Amazon and Kindle of RAGING AGAINST AGING
My new nonfiction book is about getting older: kicking & screaming, laughing & crying, stretching & kvetching and is obviously targeted to the Boomers. It is very NYC and very Jewish, and I’m told, it is quite funny. It is not a how-to. It is a collection of personal narratives that started as small blogs that grew into my book.
My husband and I were in NYC celebrating our 25th anniversary. It was mid-afternoon when we found ourselves on a long line to board the crosstown bus. We were holding onto the straps behind the driver ,when suddenly, two young girls got up. I turned around to see who the lucky old people were. My husband was the only one standing behind me. I realized those seats were meant for US!
I wish I could tell you that I felt dignified, respected, deserving. The truth was I was mortified! I was OUTRAGED! Somehow I managed to mutter a thank-you but the whole ride back to our hotel, I fretted about what had given me away. Was it my gray roots? Was it my wrinkles? My sagging neck? My orthopedic shoes that I have to wear?
Hence, the title: RAGING AGAINST AGING and chapter one: Orthopedic shoes and Dinner. Can Orthopedic Shoes be sexy? romantic?
If you know what I am talking about, you may want to buy my book. If you have not yet had the pleasure of this experience, then you may want to buy my book for your mother or aunt or grandmother.
